Workshops
Immigrant, refugee and low-income communities are often left out of the green revolution despite suffering a disproportionate share of environmental degradation. The High Point Center seeks to break this cycle with environmental programming designed for the High Point community.
Some of this programming includes tours given in a variety of languages, including Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Oromo, Khmer, Tigrigna, Amharic and Sign Language.
Living Green Curriculum
Neighborhood House is also building a Living Green Curriculum that will include workshops about human and ecological health aimed at a variety of ages. Topics will include non-toxic cleaning, affordable nutrition and energy conservation.
