POSITION TITLE: Children's Enrichment Program Instructor (0-5 years)
BACKGROUND AND PROGRAM SCOPE:
Neighborhood House partners with diverse individuals and families to build community and achieve their goals for health, education and self-sufficiency. The Neighborhood House Family Resource Center provides a variety of services to the High Point community.
The Family Resource Center currently offers free childcare for parents attending our Ready To Work ESL class Monday- Thursday from 9:30 AM- 12:30 PM. We are looking for volunteers to enhance the experience children have when attending childcare by facilitating enriching activities. During summer break, parents will bring their elementary aged children in as well.
Volunteers have flexibility in the types of activities they choose to lead. Some programming ideas include: arts and crafts, sports, STEM-based activities, music story time, etc.
- Desire to share a special skill with children
- Interest in working with diverse communities
- Ability to lead and instruct children in activities
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Ability to interact with children in a kind and patient manner
Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM- 12:30 PM. Volunteers can sign up for a full day, half day, one day per week or multiple days per week-- it just depends on your availability.
